There are free events going on everyday at the Kimmel Center, the headquarters of the festival!  Every Friday at noon you can enjoy a free concert series, XPN Free at Noon.  This is a perfect way to spend your friday lunch hour during PIFA.

10-minute French lesson followed by a complimentary two-hour concert from 5-7 p.m.  The musical talents vary day to day.  PA liquor control board has installed a temporary stand that is in the shape of a boxcar to go along with the transportation theme in the plaza.  In the plaza there will also be complementary wine tastings every weekday during the festival.

Be sure to stop by the Kimmel Center after dark at least once during the festival to be dazzeled by the light show on the Eiffel Tower replica. Light shows will be nightly at 7p.m and 10 p.m. The 81 foot replica of the Eiffel Tower is build of 6,000 light bulbs.

The grand Street Fair that will end the festival is also free! April 30th from 11:30 am - 7:00 p.m will close Broad Street from Chestnut Street to Lombard. Take SEPTA for easy commuting into the city.

There truly is something for everyone during PIFA so check out http://www.pifa.org/ and start planning.  A green ticket on the site that says “free” indicates all complimentary events.
