Celebrate National Hot Dog Month at MidAtlantic Restaurant
I was very pleased with my first visit to a Daniel Stern restaurant , MidAtlantic, this week and it will not be my last. MidAtlantic Restaurant and Tap Room and R2L are two restuarant in Philadelphia that Daniel Stern owns and operates. Although I am new to his dinning establishments he is not new to Philly. He has been a part of city's dinning culture several years after the opening of two former hot spots, Gayle and RAE.
During the month of July is featuring their house made hot dog and potato chips in a special in honor of National Hot Dog Month. I have never enjoyed a hot dog that was as big as this one. Also, until next Thursday July 28th they are also offering their Dinning Days menu. Dinning Days gives you a chance to taste some of their best menu selections in a 3 course meal for just $25.
Check out photos from my guilt-full meal! It was worth every calorie. However, I don't recomend going on a first date because this meal is not very lady-like. Enjoy!
Even the warm pretzel was served with a twist, no pun intended. Beer and cheese fondue was on the side of the pretzel and there are two homemade mustards also served with it.
Too bad I didn't save room for dessert! This was about to be served in the open kitchen. It's a peanut butter pie.
