Twisting 4 a Cause: Philly Pretzel Factory’s Campaign to Fight Breast Cancer
As you are already aware many local businesses are raising funds to find a cure for Breast Cancer Awareness Month and Philly Pretzel Factory is one of them! 'Twisting 4 A Cause' campaign has already kicked off and will continue until Oct. 31st. $1 ribbon shaped pretzels are being sold and 50% of the proceeds will go to the Philadelphia affiliate of Susan G. Komen Foundation to fund breast cancer research.
Ironically, October is also National Pretzel Month so Philly Pretzel Factory thought it was perfect to celebrate by creating a hand twisted pretzel dedicated to breast cancer research. To raise even more awareness the walls of the Philly Pretzel Factory stores are covered with pink paper ribbons which are given to customers who purchase the ribbon pretzels to sign their name and place it on the “Wall of Fame”.
This is not the first time that Philly Pretzel Factory has joined forces with Susan G. Komen; they donated $20,000 last year to the foundation at the Race for the Cure Kick-Off Party. The 2011 goal is to double their funds and raise $40,000 selling the twisted ribbons!
Help the cause and get yourself (or the office) a ribbon shaped pretzel. There are currently over 100 locations of Philly Pretzel Factory so chances are there is one in your neighborhood! Your $1 will make a big different in the fight against breast cancer.
