Fairmount Restaurant Week

Last Friday, May 25^th kicked off the first ever Fairmount Restaurant Week. To celebrate the opening of the Barnes Foundation on the Benjamin Franklin Parkway, local restaurants teamed up offering $35-or-less three-course prix fixe. The restaurant deals continue until Sunday, June 3rd. Don’t miss this great deal!

I used to live in the Fairmount neighborhood of Philadelphia for two years and it’s still one of my favorite places in Philly to visit! Bridgid’s, London Grill and Umai Umai are three of my favorites and they all offer very different menus and experiences. Bridgid’s is a small bar with a dining room serving up American favorites with a twist like upside down chicken pot pie.  London Grill is a more sophisticated atmosphere and brunch is my favorite meal there with a self-serve Bloody Mary bar. And last by not least, Umai Umai is where my girlfriends and I frequent the most for sushi and a quaint BYOB setting. If you are searching for great sushi in Fairmount look no further than this neighborhood gem! 


The event also coincides with the launch of “With Art Philadelphia,” a new marketing campaign by Greater Philadelphia Tourism Marketing Corp. (GPTMC) highlighting the city surrounded by art!
