Support a 9/11 Hero Fund Childhood Cancer Research
Today my good
friend Tom will be shaving his head in Central Park to help raise money for St.
Baldricks’ Foundation to fund childhood cancer research and he needs your help!
This is the first year that Tom is participating in St. Baldrick’s fundraiser
and he is doing it to live out the legacy of his cousin Steve Cioffi, a NYPD Lieutenant and 9/11 first responder,
unexpectedly died of cancer.
Lt.
Steve Cioffi has been a loyal supporter of St. Baldrick’s since 2008. Steve
lost his own battle to cancer just last week after being diagnosed with a rare aggressive
form of cancer in the fall. His rare cancer is thought to be linked to his
extensive time spend at Ground Zero in NYC as a NYPD first responder eleven
years ago.
Please help
support the cause in Steve’s memory! He leaves behind twin sons, Owen and Max,
who will grow up without a father. They were born in August, just months before
he became ill. This story really hit
close to home and I am committed to do what I can to help honor the life of Steve,
a hero, a father, a husband, a cousin and a friend. Please join me by making a
donation in his memory to St. Baldrick’s, an organization that he truly believed
in.
