Shattering Expectations: Mosaic 2014
Philadelphia's Magic Gardens is
ready to unveil their gallery's next exhibition, Shattering Expectations: Mosaic 2014. It will be
an exciting collaboration with Mosaic Society of Philadelphia featuring 8
talented artist. The exhibition opens on Friday, March 7 and will run through
Easter Sunday, April 20, 2014.

Be one of the first to see this
fascinating exhibit during the free opening reception on Friday, March 7 at
6:00 - 9:00 p.m. Enjoy wine and cheese while admiring the art. Plus, you may
even get a chance to meet some of the artists featured! This is a rain or shine
event because the special exhibit will be displayed in the indoor gallery
space.

The selected
artists for the upcoming exhibit are: Karen Kettering Dimit, Yakov Hanansen, Yulia Hanansen, Samantha Holmes, Rachel Sager, Carol Stirton-Broad, Carol Talkov, and Brooks Tower. Multiple works from these
artists - including international award-winners - showcase the innovation within
the American mosaic community.
This exhibition
is curated and juried by Nancie Mills Pipgras, an international speaker and
author of Mosaic Art Now.
Highlights include a site-specific work, a father and daughter artist pair with
their own unique approaches, and interviews with the artists via QR code.
Shattering Expectations is being
presented in collaboration with the Mosaic Society of Philadelphia. MSoP is a
nonprofit organization dedicated to the promotion of appreciation for the
practice of mosaic art in the Philadelphia area.
