Philly Beer Week Is Coming Soon

Philly BeerWeek is just around the corner.  The 10-day celebration of beer in the City of Brotherly Love begins June 3th and continues until June 12th.  There are countless events at local pubs, restaurants and bars that are dedicated to, well you guessed it, BEER!
Philly BeerWeek began in 2008 and now in its fourth year there are hundreds of festivals, dinners, tours, pub crawls, tastings and meet-the-brewer nights all planned to contribute to the excitement.  Philadelphia is one of America’s leading Beer-Drinking cities and it even inspired over 25 other U.S. cities to launch their own beer weeks.

Philly Beer Week Inc., a non-profit 501(c)(6) organization, is the backbone of Philly BeerWeek.  The organization is overseen by a board comprised of brewery owners, distributors, restaurant owners and others, to promote Philadelphia’s beer and hospitality industries.  Hey board members, if you need any taste testers please give me a call! ;)

One of the featured must-go-to- events of Philly Beer Week is the 4th annual International Great Beer Expo.  The event will take place on Saturday June 4th at the Navy Yard.  This event looks like one beer drinkers will really love.  The International Great Beer Expo sounds similar to the AC Beer Fest that I went to and blogged about back in April. You get to sample different beers from around the globe all under the same roof!

Philly Beer Week
International Great Beer Expo is only one of the numerous events to take part in during Philly Beer Week.  Remember the celebration lasts for 10 days so if you have plans on June 4th there is still so much for to guzzle down.   There is even an app to keep you on track so you don’t miss a pint.  Download the android Philly Beer Week app now to get updates.

See you at Philly Beer Week. Cheers, Nina
